CALL FOR APPLICATION: ‘ONLINE PEACEBUILDING AND SOCIAL COHESION’

Centre for Peace and Justice, Brac University is inviting applications for a week-long training on ‘Online Peacebuilding and Social Cohesion’ under the project titled ‘Empowered Women, Peaceful Communities’ Project supported by UN Women Bangladesh.

Training Duration:

The training will be held from 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm for a week between 23 January to 10 February 2022 in the following three batches at Zoom meeting –

Batch-1: 23- 27 Jan 2022

Batch-2: 30 Jan-03 Feb 2022

Batch-3: 06-10 Feb 2022

About the Training:

The key objective of the training is to strengthen young female students’ understanding of how to create entertaining online videos and positive contents that promote peace, social cohesion and gender equity. It will also increase capacities of participants  to identify, report, and counter hate speech in cyberspace.

Who Can Apply?

• Female students studying at bachelors/honours level at any academic institution in Bangladesh who did not receive this training from CPJ, Brac University earlier.
• Students from the indigenous communities, persons with disabilities, female-headed households, tea gardens, Urdu speaking, transgender, faith-based and any other disadvantaged community are highly encouraged to apply.
• Has a compatible device (e.g. smartphone, laptop, desktop) with an internet connection.
