Centre for Peace and Justice, BRAC University has signed a partnership agreement with the Community Partnerships to Strengthen Sustainable Development (Compass) Program of the United States Forest Service International Program on 24th May 2023. The collaboration will concentrate on a number of crucial issues, such as training, the use of local resources, increasing localization of the programmes, and and creating implementation guidelines.
The partnership aims to align organisational goals and achieve remarkable outcomes in youth development, environmental stewardship, and skill development. Abu Mostafa Kamal, PhD, Project Lead of the Compass Program, USFS/IP, and Manzoor Hasan, OBE, Executive Director CPJ, signed the agreement, beginning a fruitful alliance.
Through this collaboration, CPJ and the Compass programme will combine their expertise, resources, and networks to foster sustainable development. The partnership endeavours to make a long-lasting and positive impact by prioritising youth empowerment and environmental conservation. This signing ceremony will represent a significant step toward the shared vision of sustainable development and achieving meaningful outcomes at a global level.
