Centre for Peace and Justice (CPJ) is a multi-disciplinary academic institute, which promotes global peace and social justice through quality education, research, training and advocacy. CPJ is committed to identifying and promoting sustainable and inclusive solutions to a wide range of global concerns and issues, including fragility, conflict and violence. The institute has multiple projects in different districts of Bangladesh. We are looking for an experienced consultant according to the below Terms of Reference;
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Consultant will be responsible for working on “Support and Uplift Rights and Equality (SURE) for Dalit and other lower caste communities” project in eight (8) districts of the northern part of the Bangladesh.
SCOPE OF WORK:
The hired consultant will be required to produce the following tasks within the given timeline:
01. The consultant will develop training module and materials for various trainings and workshops
- Develop ToT module on Legal rights and the Right to Information
- Develop training module on online peacebuilding with the youth
- Develop training module on social cohesion
- Develop a workshop module on the concept of human rights, social cohesion, inclusion and peacebuilding.
- Design and develop training materials of the prepared modules. This will include objectives, facilitator note, session plans, methodologies like group work sessions, case studies, psychological tools, hand out and materials/references.
- Develop detail learning materials of all modules following adult learning principles and participatory methods;
- The training module and material will be prepared in the format mutually agreed upon by CPJ and the Consultant.
02. Develop an assessment format for ToT for baseline a (pre-training) and end- line (post-training) as a basis of the evaluation of the performance of individual trainees.
- Nature of the test will be a mix of MC and writing short notes
- 45 minutes baseline and 45 minutes for end-line test
- The assessment system should include trainer’s subjective assessment. A checklist with a suitable grading system should be developed.
03. Develop daily training schedule, facilitate trainings and reporting
DELIVERABLES
- Final training module on ToT, Peace Building and Social Cohesion and online Peace Building
- Develop a one-day workshop module
- Training material as mentioned above based on the final module.
- Participant assessment format (pre and post-training).
- The final version of all materials and module should be handed over to CPJ in hard copies.
EXPERTISE AND EXPERIENCE
- The Consultant should have excellent academic and research background and have proven track record in conducting above mentioned assignments
- Experience and expertise in facilitating sessions using participatory adult learning methods
- Sound knowledge of human rights, peace, social cohesion, inclusion and gender in the context of Dalit and other lower casts communities
- Experience and expertise in module and materials development with national and international NGOs
- Knowledge and experience of using participatory approaches and innovative facilitation techniques
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple individuals and groups
