Centre for Peace and Justice, BRAC University is organising a Talk by Professor Tom Arcaro on “Humanity needs more female voices now!” in association with Peace Cafe, BRAC University on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, from 2.00 PM to 03.30 PM at BRAC University GDLN Centre, University Building-2, 18th Floor.
The theme of the Talk: This talk will provide the idea and importance of more female voices to address pressing global challenges. Emphasizing the principles of equality, dignity, and humanism, we must recognize women’s crucial role in combating climate concerns and fostering social justice efforts. Historically, privileging forces have perpetuated marginalization, necessitating an inclusive understanding through Critical Hydra Theory. Female voices, reflecting our better angels and exhibiting greater empathy, can lead us toward a more just and sustainable future. By holding ourselves accountable and demanding change in various spheres of life, we can bend the moral arc toward justice, with women’s voices at the forefront of this transformative journey.
