Basic Training Module for Paralegals

Based on the experience of the ToT programmes and learnings from mapping workshop, a module developing process was started with the support of different organizations. In 2017, CPJ, which took over from SAILS, developed a ground-breaking comprehensive ‘Basic Training Module for Paralegals’, in collaboration with some of the leading legal aid and legal empowerment organizations in Bangladesh.

CPJ organized a 5-day residential field test training in Madhupur BRAC Learning Centre (BLC), Tangail from 5-9 February 2017, with participants from two organizations – Council for Minorities and MOVE Foundation. 24 men and women from different educational, social and cultural backgrounds participated in the training. The objective of the field test training was to test out the module and material, make required changes based on the feedback and finalize the module to be used in the actual basic training.
