The Centre for Peace and Justice of Brac University, the Asia Justice Coalition and the International Commission of Jurists co-convened an international consultation on “The Situation in Myanmar: Regional Solutions” on 3 October 2022 in Bangkok, Thailand.

The event brought together diplomats, journalists, activists, lawyers, academics, regional and national representatives, and policymakers from Asia to discuss issues relating to the current situation in Myanmar.

The objective of the meeting was to share information on Myanmar and explore possible regional solutions.   The discussion covered three topics: Situation in Myanmar, ASEAN and Neighbouring State Response to Myanmar Coup, and International Justice for the Rohingya.  A report containing recommendations from the consultation will be published soon.
