On 21 November 2022 Peace Café, Brac University jointly with Brac University Community Service Club and Brac University Research for Development Club, the Office of Co-Curricular Activities and Centre for Peace and Justice (CPJ), BRAC University organised a seminar on “Importance of Peace to Save our Environment”.

The keynote speaker was Dr. Glen T. Martin, Emeritus Professor of Philosophy at Radford University and founder of Earth Foundation under the Constitution for the Federation of Earth. He engaged students in creating a spiritual and existential new paradigm toward saving the planet through peace and harmony. He presented the six values of the World Commission on Protected Areas (WCPA) under which the Earth Constitution was drafted, along with the preamble and key articles of the Earth Constitution. Thereafter, he discussed the importance of ratifying the Earth Constitution. The ratification by the peoples and nations of Earth is currently underway.

Dr. David Dowland, Registrar, Brac University was present in the seminar as the Chief Guest. Dr. M. Mahboob Hossain, Professor, Microbiology Program, Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and Shahariar Sadat, Director-Academic and Legal Empowerment, CPJ, Brac University graced the event as Guest Speaker. Tahsina Rahman, Joint Director, Student Life, BRACU, Md Wahidul Islam, Communications Officer and Co-Adviser of Peace Café also joined the seminar from CPJ.
